After quite an absence we are back in action! And what a way to start this new blog with a photo shoot of little man at 1 year old. Actually, he was 1 year and a few days :) His friend Aiden had his first birthday on December 31st. Aiden's Mom (and one of my best friends) Erin made Aiden a magnificent poster for his birthday. She made cupcakes for the boys and invited us over for a photo shoot using said poster. Man am I glad we went! Check out the super cute photos below. Thanks Erin and Aiden for a great day and happy birthday to our big boys!!
Here's a shot of Mr. Birthday Boy with his balloon. I tied it to his diaper so he could play with it :)
I must admit, this kid wanted nothing to do with cupcakes. I tried everything, letting him smash into it, feeding it to him, breaking it open so the not-so-sticky cake would be appealing... nothing would do. Here he is after first touch of the icing and not being impressed. I'm thinking it was because of the sticky texture.
I don't want this thing!
But then, Miss Erin got some smiles out of him (he forgot the cupcake was even there).
Cracking up
Maybe I'll touch it... maybe not.
waving
I forced sprinkles on his hand... still not impressed.
Not sure if he was happy or sad but love this face!
Miss Erin came over to try to feed him icing. We thought it was working...
...then we realized...
...he just wanted Miss Erin...
He loves her :)
And the cupcake stands alone
Aiden had his own photo shoot but I didn't realize that I didn't get one shot because I was feeding Jet. However, we did try the boys together with their cupcakes. At this point they were both not going to be tricked into eating or even touching those cupcakes. So, we gave them toys.
A little curious
And off he went!
Jet stands alone
The boys finished the day by watching Sesame Street in their diapers while we cleaned their clothes and the floor. What a fun day... I'll remember that one for a looooong time :)
